Upside Down

The year was 2003, it was a hot day, In sunny Florida. My family and I went on the Lazy River. I was only 8 and to small to control a rubber ring, so I shared a double with my dad, as he closed his eyes and relaxed, I took in all the smells, doughnuts, burgers and chips, typical Floridian food. As my dad lay there, I stood up very carefully, as I didn’t want to disturb my dad.n My mum and brother were slightly ahead and watching, I jumped into the water filled with leaves and twigs, but as I did, my dad flipped over in the ring. My family burst out laughing at him, but he didn’t find it very amusing, but eventually he stopped being grumpy, gave in and joined in with the laughing.

Evy- fab memory- you use your sense of smell especially well to describe the setting. It's quite hard to be descriptive when telling funny stories, but this is a good first try. Thanks for sharing.
